B"H
I have seen two books on philosophy and popular culture. One is titled "Pink Floyd and Philosophy." The other, which I have not looked at, is titled, "The Beatles and Philosophy." Out of curiosity, has anyone seen a "Star Trek and Philosophy?"
Thank you,

has anybody noticed that Data (on TNG) is a lot like an aspie? I think he is.
Enterprise sure does suck, I tried to watch it once and could not stand it
^That's my sister^
Oh, here's my new favorite thread.

I like:
1) VGR
2) TNG
3) DS9
4) TOS
Notice how Enterprise isn't even on the list. That one was baaad.
I guess they thought it would be more interesting if they made funny noises.
like stek a lot. Liked seven of nine. and data. and... the list fades into infinity
when i write stek you know i mean star trek
what... this was a reply to the page 1. da^mit. now this looks so irrelevant

Uh huh.
There's some others I reckon too (a bit).
Data is an android. And lots are aliens, so they can kinda be excused for acting AS.
I like:
ENT - Had the best FX and was really getting good when they canned it
VOY - My brother actually worked for Paramount on Voyager. He showed me around the sets and I sat in the Defiant's captains seat. He also showed me some of the DS9 sets. They look surprisingly crappy up close. Got to stand on the transporter pad too. It sucked the way they ended it, too rushed.
DS9 - Pretty political but interesting, loved the Ferengi's
TNG - Fantastic in it's day, looks pretty sorry now.
TOS - Really looks dorky now but started it all.
I'm wondering actually - wouldn't mind knowing - is anyone else here on startrek.com or Trekspace or the Paramount site??
If you
are on Trekspace, let's be friends!!
If not, come on over and let's be friends anyway.

Just follow the teddy.
I quit going to startrek.com when Cap, Admiral and those idiots hijacked the IRC Server.
I don't hang around the Trek fansites that much. I never got into the habit, I guess. I just do things like memorize the TNG technical manual and collect various Star Trek series paperbacks. I have over 200 at last count.

We have been renting all of "The Next Generation" discs from Netflix. What an enjoyable thing to watch as a family. It has been so long since I have seen them, they seem nearly new to me as well.
really - how is the next generation? (can't distinguish in which order they came in) am a classic star trek fan...
Well, we watched all of the classic Star Trek movies, and it was time to move her on to the new peeps, so here we are. It has some themes that are a bit racy, maybe for your household, but we do not stress about that too much in ours.
She has been loving it! Good family time, good life lessons, cool costumes, how could you ask for more.
Oh, and reliving my crush from my youth on Wil Wheaton. He was dreamy...
Well - you could go through all the old Star Trek, then the Next Generation, then Voyager, then DS 9, then - what's the one after (I haven't got that one but the theme song starts "it's been a long road, getting from there to here..etc") and play the movies inbetween as and when they came out.
Exactly our plan alectrum!
actually, its TOS, TNG, DS9, Voyager, Enterprise.
