Hi this is my first post here,

About a year ago in college back on March 25th I recieved my diagnosis of Aspergers from Professor Digby Tantum since then I realised that most people didn't really understand what Aspergers was. I noticed this when I was being different from my classmates and I didn't hink they would have heard of it. One time in college our course tutor asked us all to do a powerpoint presentation on anything we wanted so I told her I would do a presentation on Aspergers explaining what it is and what does it mean to me and to anyone who has it.

For a few weeks during studies I gathered up info for a six page slide I planned and I got some info from Tantum himself which was helpful. Once it was set I presented my presentation to the class it went down brilliantly, they all gave me positive feedback from it and were amazed that people had this condition. But it didn't end there, my course tutor mentioned it through the college support team and it started spreading like wildfire to other sections of the college community. Everyone was amazed to hear this and two months later I was asked to do it again at another college in front of the support team as before it went down great. Since then I've done my presentation many times at numeorous colleges, conferences you name it and I have recieved gifts for doing it such as shopping vouchers for participating and its now being used now for staff training all around Sheffield (Where I come from) and possibly sometime around the rest of the country, also I maybe getting benefits from it everytime the college uses it because its my work so is rightfully a copyright of mine.

Still though everyone couldn't believe that someone like me could stand up in front of a large group of people and do a presentation on something most people wouldn't like to talk about it just shows that having Aspergers is definitley a good thing and its not shown in a bad light as the press like to show it.
