I've been ruminating about this for years, and I think it's time to stop putting this off...
I've always wanted to head a band. I'm a singer/songwriter (but I can't play guitar!) So I was wondering if anyone from New York would be interested in putting together a band. My musical tastes are pretty eclectic, but lean heavily towards punk/indie. I have some songs and I'm pretty open to collaborations with others.
I'm hyperlexic and I think it would be cool to be in a band with other aspies/auties. It's not that I particularly want to write songs about it, or make it a marketing thing (God forbid!). I just think that should we ever go on tour, we'd be less apt to kill each other. Not that we wouldn't ever fight or anything. My dad is a classic aspie and we fight all the time, but it's never a big deal because neither of us takes it personally. It's just how we communicate.
