Attention Artists,
If anyone here is Australian and you are quite passionate about you're skills with a paintbrush, pencil, etc... then this may interest you.
It's occured to me that, in Australia, there hasn't been an Autistic Pride Day (June 18th) event here since 2006 in Melbourne. My idea is, if enough people like the idea, that we come together and organize a Nationwide event for next years Autistic Pride Day (2010 "Perspectives, Not Fear").
For the nationwide event, in hopes of taking place, I was thinking that we use this day to celebrate who we are as "Aspies", and keep telling the world that we are not sick victims in need of a cure; we are unique individuals that deserve a little more credit than the world thinks we're capable of.
On the said day, we can celebrate our talents and strengths, like showing the world the works that any visitors here have created, unless you're shy or private about it which is OK. So, if we all come together, we can help make this dream of mine a reality of ours. If we garner enough attention on the subject, maybe the admins will see it and think about the subject. Her's a link to the thread I've posted:

If anyone has queries, responses or just an opinion about the thing, you can drop me an e-mail at cobains_soldier@hotmail.com or, if you live in Australia, you can ring me on 65668830. I look forward to your support.
