I have heard that Dan Ackroyd has AS by his own admission
Dan Ackroyd's entry on imdb.com says: "As a child in the early 1960s, he was diagnosed with Tourette's syndrome and Asperger syndrome. The symptoms had mostly subsided by the time he was 14." How could he have been diagnosed as early as then, and how could the Asperger symptoms have mostly subsided?
Well, my symptoms had almost subsided when I was about 18 yrs of age. One could say that I had adapted to "normal behavior" (even if feeling uncomfortable with it, but liking the feeling of acceptance that came along). But then I had big emotional stress and symptoms came back much stronger than I remembere them being in my childhood (well, nobody made a big fuzz about it when I was a child, I was only told to "behave" correct, the feelings behind were not noticed) and it seems I can't get back to NT behavior on my own wish (sometimes it would just be easier to do so). But still I can pretend to be NT when having a good day (with little stress) and when in need to do so. But it's only on rare occassions I have those good days.
On the other hand I won't give away my being sensitive to different smells and sounds (well, sometimes i would - if they are very disturbing). Bad thing is not my need for being alone, it's the denial of that need because of family and social needs that cross my own.

i have have wonderd about aspie actors to. i ahve also heard erik per sulllivan is an aspie but it seems to be a rumor. i acted in palys in elementary and high school and was in a theatre group. aslo i was an extra on the show early edtion but i guess i really dont count since i never acted proffessinlly.
I've heard that Keanu Reeves has Asperger's. I can't remember where I heard that, so I can't comment on the credibility of my source.
It sounds like the movie about the Jacksons might be good, but since when was ADHD on the autistic spectrum? I'm sure that plenty of aspies have been misdiagnosed as ADHD, but that isn't the same as saying ADHD is a form of autism.
As for Dan Ayckroyd, OF COURSE HE'S STILL AN ASPIE! Both of the Blues Brothers movies were jam packed full of aspergerisms. Can you think of any other two movies in which not making eye contact is blatantly joked about? Ayckroyd is the master of the monologue of pedantry. I could write an essay on why the Blues Brothers movies are the most autistic movies ever made.

So does young Luke think he might turn into an NT if he avoids eating the wrong foods?
Has anyone ever recieved a reply from Luke by his email address. On his profile on Deviantart.com you can email him and I sent one a few weeks back but never got a response. I don't know if it was because it was one of those automatic one-way reply systems and he couldn't reply back or something same think happens on his website when you reply through his "Contact Us" button. I may send him an email again through Outlook Express instead by actually typing out his email address instead see if he can reply that way.
Is odd because he does reply back to people if you get in contact with him he doesn't mind?
Michael Palin is believed to have Asperger's syndrome, he's one of the guys in Monthy Python gang.

Bit old to be playing the part of a teenage boy though! Unless the filmmakers decide to fictionalise it and create some additional characters such as a love interest for Jacqui. Or maybe the story will get the Richard Curtis treatment and Luke will be saved by the love of a glamourous girlfriend - probably an American who will leave him all tongue-tied.
Neat! response to First post.
