I haven't been able to go on the chatroom for some time. Is it related to the sites downtime last week?

Hi Brant, the chatroom is working fine now.

I still can't get on. When ever I try i see a red 'x' in the corner.

No java - go and download the latest JRE or get an IRC client.

I think I acidently uninstalled it. Where do I download it?

Mine does that too sometimes. I blame IE for it, but then I blame IE for world poverty, famine and ingrown toenails. It's a pain in the arse but restarting the computer seems to resolve the problem every time  :smile:

You could try connecting through http://www.chatautism.com instead.

One of the IRC servers (athena) often has problems with disconnecting. When this happens, it changes the IP but the DNS still has its old IP. So you try to connect to the old IP.
If this happens again, try one of the following:

/server autopia.uk.chatautism.com
/server rinoa.nl.chatautism.com

What specifically are you having trouble with?

You need Java. Or you could download Mirc, but that is more complicated.
