I read the whole story, how horrible! I'm afraid she is going to die before they will be able to get her back. It's incredible what power one judge and the welfare system has in some places.
The story reads like a big conspiracy theory, but I do find it credible, as I have seen similar things happen in institutions for the aged in Australia. Someone get put into an institution against their will. They "play up" and then get drugged out of their mind to tame their behaviour so that they can hardly move. Then they become vulnerable to assaults from other patients or whoever, and the family become concerned about the bruises and injuries. Then the staff have to work together to cover up their mistreatment and mismangement. They don't know any other way to do their job so they have to defend the way they do things. The staff also might have to discredit the family if they make too much trouble for them. The staff think they are all great team-workers, when they are just conspirators and crooks.
