As most of you might know, I have been singled out in the autism community. Here on AFF, at one time, my post was answered with a repetition of old unfounded rumors and no discussion of the points I made. Then all that changed. I posted something about sexual deprivation, and people addressed my points -- no more umpugning my moral character.

I was surprised, then, at how easy it was to just leave the whole thing alone; as some of you people might have noticed, I was no longer seen in the IRC channels -- a hell of a big change from previous times, when I spent hours a day sneaking into the places that I'm banned from! Why that big change? just feeling that I had finally been heard.

What this means is that excluding me is *uncompassionate* to say the least.

My experience here of AFF should show that those who really want to *do* something about community hostility, don't fault me for being in-your-face when there was nobody out there interested in doing anything constructive.

One thing that you would like is to something about the ability of NAS (and ASA and similar organiztions in other countries) to be callously indifferent to our problems and still keep their Halo of St. Francis. Maybe one thing you could do is to point out how dishonest and uncossionate they are capable of being!
Hi Julio, I am glad you have had a positive experience here at AFF.

A little positivity in a negative world can make all the difference.
Actually, I have gotten the same kind of "positive" response on a couple of other forums too.

It was suggested to me that I should be more emphatic about the fact that my proposals about sexual deprivation wouldn't infringe on women's rights. Could that account for the difference?

Could there be another factor, such as the group's interest in doing something positive, instead of being a comfort to the parents who want to burry their heads in the sand? There is one person who, despite getting recognition for excellence in teaching, was banned in the #autism channel of starlink-irc because she was outspoken about the crackpot cures.

I think that is a factor here, I can't speak for other forums.
