I was excited this afternoon and me and Kevin (the Chairman of the NSAAA) went to Cross Rhythms radio to talk about the residential respite unit the NSAAA is raising £2 million for.
Then after that we went to Radio Stoke late in the afternoon to talk about the same thing as well as how autism affects me.
Before the shows I was excited to talk about stuff like this and I wasn't even nervous.

Thats excellent Simeon, you are braver then me!

LOL!

WOW! Thats pretty cool

Thank you all.

I will make an MP3 version for everyone to listen to.

Hey well done!
We're setting up a consultancy to send groups round to schools and companies to give talks on how it is to have AS and live in society without understanding!
It get's easier trust me, in 1998 my family took part in a documentary entitled Asperger's the lost generation, in 2002 we featured in a video for the NAS, Disabilities Trust and BIBIC for Autism awareness 2002. We attended the launch at a supper at the House of Commons!
More recently I've become the AS advisor for Holby City, and have been invited to Elstree Studios to help film the episode and work with the Actress to get the Aspie qualities right.
It's taken six years but I'm getting more able to do these things as they arise, who knows we may see you on TV before long - hey fancy a joint spot
Debs
Yeah it would be good to listen to it Sim.
I'll be going on the TV next week and I'll keep you posted.

Thats cool! My mum watches Holby City. I wonder which episodes you'll be on
I tried calling that fat-ass bastard Rush Limbaugh a month ago, over the comments he made about us back in May.
Simeon, that was great (well OK I'm a bit miffed that us very high function types got ignored; we suffer discrimination too, even if we can do our own cooking...) but all in all it came across really well, and I wish you lots of luck!
I could picture someone like Richard Branson (it's been suggested he's an Aspie) as your celebrity figurehead, but I suppose he's not local enough?
I think we need input from Aspies on all parts of the spectrum and these things are certainly a good start.
