I use a Mac. I like how nobody actually made viruses for it. I am completely useless when it comes to fighting viruses.

I wonder if it's possible to have more than one OS on one computer.

Hmm, seems only to have an OSX binary package.

Fancy compiling GIMP from source?

I just finished a build of 2.2.13 the other day.  It's not that difficult, but the ever-increasing dependency bloat is becoming a bit tiresome (pango, cairo, librsvg, libgsf, gtk+, glib, atk, libcroco, libart...all of which had to be rebuilt).

As to which OS I'm running, it's handrolled linux all around.  I walked away from windows in 1996 and walked away from the distros two years later.

After my current computer runs its course, I am getting a Mac.

Linux - Ubuntu, in fact - is what I'm currently running. I only switched yesterday, but I hope cravings for games other than Supertux don't come anytime soon; I'm really liking this. Plus, I don't feel as if I'm missing anything (I have yet to start Developing under LInux, however).
Windows. been using it all my life. haven't really used Mac's cept in my comp graphics class, though it was confusing sometimes. also i don't really like the single mouse button that Mac's have. that's my post. yay Tongue
Most NTs I know use PCs. I like my Mac better. And all most NTs like to do on computers is go to MySpace or use the chat room. I don't have a Myspace.
MacOsX - I already have a Mac Mini G4 and an iBook G4.
I really would like a Mac PRO. Awesome machine but much too expensive.
For everyday-work, music, graphics I use Linux (ususally SuSE), but there's also a Windows 98 partition on my PC for the occasional games and some old hardware, like my scanner, that won't run on Linux. Many Win-programs like IE6, PaintShop, and IrfanView run on Linux out-of-the box (using WINE). My Laptop (which isn't really mine) runs both Windows XP and Linux. And a few weeks ago I bought an secondhand IMac (a blue one).
Windows XP. I find it very easy to use as does the rest of the family. I looked at Mac before buying my current system and couldn't justify the expence.
Does anyone have Windows Vista yet? If you do what is is like?
Windows XP. I got it before it was officially released since it came with the computer I made my parents buy.
I'm more in favor to the Linux distros, even though I primarily use Windows.  I do, however, have a partition set up for FreeSpire set up that I use.  I couldn't really find anything else =(.
My hubby has a PowerBook, I have a new MacBook. I partitioned the drive so one half runs XP so that the kids could run a few non-mac friendly programs. I use the Mac half 99% of the time (I always hated Windows, even NT - seemed to force you to do things its way) and 100% of online stuff - I'm not happy about viruses. My daughter has always used Windows and gets no end of virus trouble. Her 'puter seems to spend six weeks a year in the local shop getting 'cured'. My first home computer was a Commodore Vic20 , the next an Amiga (which I still think was the easiest to understand). My first Windows PC ran NT.
