Who doesn't and who wants to develop a cure?

Hi Matthew, welcome to AFF. I am against a cure, there is no real cure, and so called prevention is just eugenics.
Why do I need a cure when there's nothing wrong with me? It's only ignorance that makes people think we have something that needs curing not a desire in ourselves.

Why would they invent a cure of AS? They cannot prove that non- aspies are more happy etc. than aspies.
True, you only need to watch 'Songs of Praise' to see how miserable they can be. Their going to heaven too so they've got no excuse
most of my unhappiness in life has been caused by the often wilful ignorance and unpleasantness of NTs.
Who amongst us hasn't heard these lines:
"What are you on?"
"Keep taking the pills"
and other kinds of destructive sarcasm.

I have a very serious look, I only smile for a reason, its not for anyone else to comment on if I smile or not.
You're not going to get a whole lot of pro-cure sentiment on an anti-cure board. I am anti-cure, but sometimes my position feels tenuous when I read books by LFA people who want a cure. I often get the feeling then that I'm not sure what autism is exactly.
What books are they??? I thought the issue for many was that LFAs were non communicative.
I have never seen a person with LFA say that they do want a cure, only parents of those with LFA and HFA.
I would be interested to read the opinions of someone with LFA who does want a cure, to find out more about their feelings.
I have read most of Donna's books and havent read that she wants a cure. She has commented on this issue in e-mails to me which are in the library section of this site.
