I can relate to a lot of what you say here. I didn't get much help in navigating the world while growing up so I've had to stop and think a lot before I chosed which way to go and it has been quite a bit of wrong turns. I act very strictly in some instances and don't allow myself to stray one inch. In other circumstances I do see what others mean when they say that what I'm doing is kinda weird (and I do some really strange things pertaining to my interests in recycling) but I try to stay loyal to my path because I understand why I'm doing it.
I try to be logical, but of course, its entirely subjective, as one has to use the senses to be objective (or try)

I like the term aspielogic though, not in the way you intended it in your original post, but for describing bits of thinking of the kind that would make you say 'thats SO aspie' Big Grin
I'm not even sure if there is such a thing as "mirror neurons".
I don't think it's a myth so much as a stereotype. Depending on logic is one of my main coping strategies; but I'm aware that many Aspies depend on other things--emotion, intuition, etc.--and that my own mastery of logic is imperfect.

Assuming that Aspies are great at using logic isn't even the same as assuming we simply use it a lot.

And some of us [i]don't[/u] use it a lot.

I think it's in the same category as assuming we are good at math or interested in train schedules--true of some, but not all.
Yeah, that "don't" was supposed to be italicized... Apparently my mastery of bbcode is imperfect, too! Smile
Hmm, I tested INTJ but I don't think my personality is much similar to yours (still I could be wrong as I also have a fairly good tolerance for jobs that others find very boring).
Could you pay a young person in the neighbourhood to do it instead?
Yes, I also am getting more intolerant to certain kinds of noises as I get older.
How do you know that she is a witch?

"BECAUSE SHE LOOKS LIKE ONE!!!"

Monty Python reference, right? Cool

Yes indeed.

I was attempting to comment on the existence of aspie logic.

"So logically...?"
"If she weighs...as much as...a duck...she's made of wood!"
"And therefore?"
"A witch!"
Isn't it at all possible, afterall, that our insulation causes us to rationalise our feelings instead of sharing them?
I do not believe all aspies are logical or else they wouldn't take phrases like "raining cats and dogs" literal or fail the Sall Ann test or expect people to read their minds and see their thoughts. I'm not always logical myself.
To add to this, a lot of aspies have synesthesia. Seeing colors on letters? A logical person would be the last to understand how that works.
Only way to see color in numbers is to picture a color on them and make them any color you want them to be. Does that make me Synesthesic? I don't think so.
