ha, I weigh 115 pounds (6 feet tall), but I don't have an eating disorder, I eat all the time, I just metabolize quickly.

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate you? Tongue

You just wait - I used to be like him (well, not the six feet, only 5'7" Rolleyes) tall and skinny however much I ate. My kids and husband have a tendency to skinniness (Is that a word? It should be!) The twins are on the second and third percentiles - i.e. lighter than 97-98% of lads their age and height!

Middle age caught me! Mind you, it merely slowed my metabolism so that I'm no longer underweight.

Sorry Max! Tongue

joesteel--have you been evaluated for celiac disease? If you are eating all the time and severely underweight like that, you either have a metabolism that's truly off the charts (like, you're practically manic all the time, or else your activity level's 8+hours of vigorous exercise daily), or else your body's not absorbing food properly. My mom had that problem... Just a thought.

I'm 5"10', and I'd be happy with 140!
1 Write complaint letters to authorities, professionals, companies etc. Well, I plan in my head, but I rarely get them to words, let alone paper, NEVER MIND the mail!
2 Read full manual before taking equipment into use Rare, if ever. I prefer the tinker-and-tear-apart method myself.
3 Severely bullied at school yup. 1
4 Little or no facial expression so I am told 2
5 Not well able to read another's facial expression Not really
6 Flat or monotonous voice Occassionally 3
7 Rigid day or week schedule (repetitive patterns) Yeah, pretty much 4

9 Lack sensitivity to nonverbal cues and social codes Depends if I'm looking/listening to the person.
10 Employed below ability level not employed, so idk

12 Never had a steady job 'tis true. But I'm just 18
13 Social isolation Not really - I don't go to as many social functions, but I keep in touch with friends and interact with them.
14 Educated below ability level True so far, but I still have college.
16 Never married Yeah, but how many 18-yr-olds are married?
17 Never had an amorous relationship Well...SORT of true.
18 Still virgin Erm...well, sort of true.
19 Fetishism I don't think so...

34 Neurotic habits or tics Possibly. WOuld have to think on this, but I don't think so.

38 Diagnosed any Personality Disorder Nope
39 Very honest Welll...not as much as I'd like to be.
41 Peculiar or (for males) too high-pitched voice My voice can be kind of low, and have been told it sounds like a 5-year-old speaking sometimes
42 Not emotional NOpe.
43 Highly sensitive to criticism Used to be, not so much anymore, unless it's from someone I care about a lot, and the criticism is about something I don't think is justified, like if they said I was a *** or lazy or something.

51 Longing for death or suicidal thoughts Used to, not any more.
52 Eating disorder (like anorexia) No, though for a time I was colorie-obsessed, but that ended when a drug made me have to over-eat or else I couldn't do anything but lie around. That's the first time I've felt hunger for a long time.
53 Depression or on anti-depressant Yeah, but not anymore, and the antidepressant wasn't for depression (in fact that year I was in a very good mood, lots of energy, until the pill).

56 Drug addict No.
57 Homeless No.
58 Sleeping problems Yep. 18
59 Stilted and overformal in social interaction Yep. 19
60 Oversensitive to particular sounds Yep. 20

SO about 20 or so.

There's a simple blood test to do a screening for stuff like that--check with your doctor. Write down the calories you're eating, see if there's a real discrepancy first. (And if you're still growing, all bets are off...)

Oh dear! Rolleyes

Blame a senior moment... Wink

Of course! Middle-age coincided with discovery of gluten intolerance!

THAT explains why I'm no longer skinny. I still eat tons and do virtually no exercise yet have a BMI around 23. Cool Better than a BMI of 17.

And I think I scored about seventeen on that list, though it's hard to tell as some of my answers were somewhat equivocal.

Did I mention that for the last few years I have listed "Writing letters of complaint" in the category of "Interests" in my AFF member profile?

I married into a family who are probably quite infamous for making complaints to various authorities. We are all confirmed troublemakers and whistleblowers in our own right. We sometimes even turn up to people's offices to give them the benefit of our unique type of wisdom. And now our kids complain to us! I guess that's genetics, and I guess that's also justice.

I believe that the famous eccentric writer/mathematician Lewis Carroll used to write many letters of complaint. He was probably on the spectrum.
