I'd say that's part of it, but to me there's a more important reason.

After watching look at some the comments. To a lot of people the old toonami really meant something. It didn't matter how bad your day was or burnt out you were, you could count them for good times, some explosions and a few things to make you feel inspired.

I have several reasons why I'm into anime. It's an art form that I really enjoy and is more appealing to me than other forms of cartoon art. The storylines are often very deep and complex and focus on a subject that is thought-stimulating (such as the future, romance, psychology, and human advancement).

I like anime about as much as any other style cartoon, I don't think it's really all that special compared to Disney and DC comics based stuff. Why did I post on this thread then? Just for the heck of it I suppose
I think their bodies are perfect but their faces are a bit overexaggerated. I mean, how long can you look at people with enormous eyes, tiny dot-like noses, and multicolor hair before getting sick of it?
There have been some good non-anime cartoons with a story told in a continuous, anime-like fashion, Toad Patrol to name one. There should be more cartoons like that (and not taken off the air), Toad Patrol was so good
