Are any of you guys looking forward to seeing The Dark Knight?

I think it's going to be a little spooky watching Heath Ledger playing The Joker.

I'm actually enjoying the way blockbuster movies are evolving. I think it started with the Bourne franchise and now the Bond and Batman franchises are following suit. Obviously the producers have woken up to the fact that movies, even blockbusters, actually have to have character development and decent storylines. Not just car chases and fights.

Right now it has 100% at rottentomatoes.com and everything I read about it makes me want to see it more.

I agree that watching Ledger will be a little -- I don't know. For me, it will be emotional. I would love to see him posthumously win the Oscar -- he was certainly cheated out of it for Brokeback Mountain.

Yeah. He was great in Brokeback Mountain. He'll be up there with Jimmy Dean if he takes out the Oscar.
I am working at a movie theatre presently, therefore my feelings are mixed.  One the one hand, this is going to be a great movie.  On the other hand, everybody and his mother and her goat are going to want to see it, and the goats in particular make all kinds of mess that I have to sweep up.
I have tickets for Friday night.  Apparently they're completely sold out here until next Tuesday, or something along those lines.
But yeah... Reaaaallly looking forward to it.
Just saw it today - even after all the buildup & hype, it's still an absolutely amazing movie. And Heath is brilliant...
That's good to hear, Zak.

I watched Batman begins on DVD last night and I'll check out the Dark Knight in the next few days.
Yeah, I have to pull 2 eight hour shifts and three 5 hour ones at the movie theatre for my 'part time' job this week.  And it's definitely this movie's fault.
