I'm puzzled by this.
Why do you think you should leave? I have noticed a few misunderstandings between various members recently, possibly linked to the emotion over the Lucie1 wars & Illusion667 invasion.
I didn't see that it was necessarily aimed at anyone in particular.
And AFF isn't just for people who can contribute; it is for people who can gain something too. And these may or may not be the same people!

I don't understand the poll at all.
There's a huge difference between "X should be banned" and "X is free to leave if he feels like it" or "If X leaves, good." I can't tell what you're really asking.
Don't dress it up in flowery language, Grumpy - tell us what you really think in plain speech please!
THis post assumes two things: We have been "picky" about posters (which we haven't) and we are responsible and in control of whether you stay or go (which we aren't.
Stay or go Alectrum. We do not control you. We are not picky and if you want us to apologise for being picky perhaps this is not the best way to achieve this. Perhaps there is some other agenda here that is too subtle for me. What do you want Alectrum?

It's at least the third "how many of you are on my side?" poll I recall. It seems usually to be a way of trumping up some sort of "I have followers for my agenda" statistics, and in the past have been rather intentionally divisive. Certainly that was the intent of IlluSion667's poll.

But I guess the urge to leave isn’t really strong enough for me to put a huge effort into leaving. So I stayed…
You contribute a lot to this forum Alectrum--a hell of a lot more than I contribute.
And you’re brave…I wouldn’t dare to put whether I should leave to a public vote.
There have been big confrontations before, and there will be more in the future...but they are infrequent, and to me the net value of the forum is still better even taking these in account, though while you can't totally ignore everything that's gone on, as some of it filters into other threads, you can well ignore some of the major sites of this stuff (such as the first Illusion "tolerance" post). That helps decrease the negativity.

I wasn't trying to make a big political statement…I just wanted to disappear without a fuss; but it seems hard to do anything these days without a fuss being made.
I would have missed you Mahler5 (and a few others too) had I left AFF.

Actually I'm a little embarrassed about still being here...generally speaking I feel if someone decides to leave they should just go.
Sometimes people say ‘I’m leaving’ to provoke a reaction…so others will say…‘oh don’t leave’.
I’d been thinking about it for a while; and I just wanted to disappear; but when I did I found the door was lock (so to speak). After banging my head against it a couple of times...I got board and went and sat back down.
Thats about the sum of it.

Perhaps I shouldn’t have said anything about my plans to leave; had Alectrum not made her post I doubt I would have told anyone; but I thought I should mention it as it seemed she might be feeling the same way.
The Lucie wars have distanced me from some people. But even putting that aside the forum seemed very antagonistic; too many people causing offence or taking offence too easily. After Lucie was banned there seemed to be a general assumption that things would get better; that peace and harmony would prevail; but if anything things appeared to get worse. I was just sick of all the arguing…
Anyway, as I said I don’t want to make a big thing of it; and I don’t want to steel Alectrum’s thunder….this is her thread.
