I don't know whether or not you "contribute" to the forum, but it's not really important - the thing we're discussing at the moment is bigotry, not the amount of contribution people make.

Anyone, who has habitually felt on the outside of life, will react more sensitively to thier environment, even if it is an internet forum. I'm seeing a lot of stuff at AFF that I remember from the playground, and that wasn't a happy time for me. It provokes core fears in me. However - that's my problem.

Part of the reason some of the big blow-ups here happened to the extent they did is out of anger that nothing was being done.
Imagine that there was a thief in your street that broke into your house and stole your things repeatedly. You report him to the police, and nothing is done. The next time, you follow him back to his house, write down his name and address, and give all of this to the police - still nothing is done. Then the next time it happens, you videotape the whole thing as proof, and turn that over to the police too - and still nothing is done.
Eventually you're going to get very angry about the situation. You'll probably also show your friends the evidence, and they'll get very angry too.
If people try to tell you that you should just let the police deal with it, you'd probably get angry with them too.
Basically, this is what you're seeing at the moment - an angry response to people that are breaking the site rules without any repercussions. I understand that it can look like "big brother rules" if you aren't around for the build-up, but all I can tell you is that these people were warned many times over about their bahaviour before anything happened to them.
Lol. Well, actually I don't have to imagine a thief in the street, since I've been through that one. Our 'thief' in the street thought it was OK to rob students. I moved out but the thief in the street kept robbing the old residence, and as a tactical response - the students started robbing his home also.
However - I had moved out by then.

There's a huge difference between "X should be banned" and "X is free to leave if he feels like it" or "If X leaves, good." I can't tell what you're really asking.

THis post assumes two things: We have been "picky" about posters (which we haven't) and we are responsible and in control of whether you stay or go (which we aren't.

It's at least the third "how many of you are on my side?" poll I recall. It seems usually to be a way of trumping up some sort of "I have followers for my agenda" statistics, and in the past have been rather intentionally divisive. Certainly that was the intent of IlluSion667's poll.
