It seems for the last few days AFF has had bucketloads of Trolls running about spamming up forums
but we have seen the likes of Lucie1 banned which is a good thing.
but it seems that a new troll has decided to mess things up with his sickening beliefs

so I am asking this question
to completely get rid of trolls should AFF give trolls an instant I.P ban?
I think that to do that, we would have to have moderators on at all times, who had the power to ban people.
All in all, it would require a much more strong management of the forum.
I believe that EvilZakkie and couldbecousin do a great job, but they cannot be on 24/7 and have limited powers.

Sometimes a person who instantly appears to be a troll to one person may not immediately appear that way to others. And conversely, some people may appear at first to be trolls but they were just misunderstood at first.
What i would like to see is the moderators authorized to do a sort of quarantine until Gareth decides to ban -- maybe some sort of 48 hour ban.
It wouldn't always work, but it would prevent the sort of deranged trolling spree IlluSion667 is on right now.

In answer to the original question, there's a couple of issues with an IP ban, but they should be given an actual ban as soon as possible - and usually will, whenever Gareth is around.
The temp ban idea is a good one if anyone can find a myBB patch to do so.
