I think an ignore user function would be awesome!
I know nothing about how the forum platform works, but if that could be accomplished, I would pay something for it.
Ethel, I read one of your posts on another thread, regarding me being confusing. I am sorry, I guess I haven't been making as much sense as I would like. I sure would never want to be frustrating to you. I figure people can skip my posts or anyone elses, if they don't think I'll have much to offer.

I think that threads would be extra confusing if one or more people were taken out, there would be no comment to reference when the thread tangents. So, I would say not to the forum ignore.
I have been skimming alot these past few days, because of the whole Lucie thing. It is hard to figure out who is serious and who is kidding around anymore. I was thinking no one was really reading things carefully anymore, I know I have been affected adversely. I hope everything will settle down soon. I'll try to be more mindful and careful anyway.
One forum I visit (IMDB, I think) allows you to put users on an ignore list. When you view a thread with that person's post on it, a link appears that says something like:
This post is hidden because [userX] is on your ignore list. To view this post anyway, click here.
This allows you to view selected posts without having to go to the User CP every time you want to check a post to see what the fuss was about.

But back to the thread at hand - I'm going to see if I can find a forum using the ignore plug-in tonight, test out how it works, and post the results. Hopefully it won't take too much effort to install the thing...

An ignore button would be good, but knowing me I'd want to know everything being said. Except I'd've ignored Lucie.
