Jess, the site had a hard core pornographic video image on it, constantly playing, anyone under 18 needs to be censored from viewing that, it is the law.
We would be breaking the law to link to such images, we have children as young as 10 here.
The law on porn being for over 18's is a way to stop those under 18 being USED in the making of porn. This is a major problem in some countries in the world.

That is good for you, but some kids don't get any choice, in Thailand there are brothels that only contain children, those kids don't have any choice.
Minimum age requirements are needed for children as they are easily exploited by adults, all around the world.
In lieu of not writing an essay on the whole issue, you could study censorship laws around the world, study the reasons behind their creation, study some cases that were prosecuted and some that failed to be prosecuted, look at the effects in countries that have no such laws, then look at child abuse laws, child pornography laws, child prostitution laws, legal age of consent laws, again with examples of cases that have been prosecuted and those that have failed to be prosecuted.
As I said you need to look at all the information before entering into a debate as the laws in each country are different and you are making suppositions about those.
In the UK a couple of teens one 14 and one 15, for example, would not be arrested and charged for having a sexual relationship.
They would not be arrested if they found some pornography and looked at it.
If an adult showed them ponography that would be illegal, and I believe rightly so. That situation would not be generated and controlled by them, it would be controlled by the adult in the situation.
That law stands as so many thousands of children have been abused with that as a start, it is well documented.
I would not allow a link on this site to pornography as people under 18 view the site.
The whole issue of censorship is massive and I have studied it in great depth for many years, and been part of the campaign to make child pornography illegal in the UK.
Beleive it or not, in the 1990's it was still legal to make and view child pornography.
Thankfully now it is illegal.

I was under the impression that we were talking about teenagers legally old enough to engage in sex so my argument was directed at those aged 16 - 19 years old which was why I though you're argument to be a little OTT.

Here in the UK it's from 16 years old for any sexuality. I don't have any problem with the way it stands.
