I am in the planning stages of my autism non-profit that will focus on autism acceptance/rights with the autistic-NT alliance. Here are some names that I thought of and if anyone got a name suggestion, just let me know.
Errr...
Invisible names? Missing link?
Oooops! Sorry, the poll just appeared from nowhere after I posted! Honest, I had refreshed the page several times!

This is a poll for an autism non-profit name that I am planning to start. The non-profit is in the planning stages and it does not have a website yet. I am planning on creating pages for both MySpace and Facebook when I decided on the name.

It is ok, things happen. If you have any ideas or imput, just PM me and we will discuss them. I am open for suggestions.
I chose the first one, but I was originally going to go with The Autistic and Allies Network.
I picked the first one too - The four A's work well. You could even call it a4 for short...
Just a minor thing, but I'd change it to "autistics and allies" (rather than "autistic and allies"), as it's referring to more than one person.
Also, with the other options, "allies alliance" is something of a tautology.
Much kudos for doing this. How far through the planning are you?
I put it in the singular by accident, the final name will be in the plural.
Here is the current status of it:
* In process of writing the bylaws
* In talks with both The Autism Acceptance Project and Autistic Self-Advocacy Network
* I hope to have the Articles of Incorporation and other paperwork done within the State of Illinois (United States) filed within a year.
Not bad! Let us know when things are getting near to completion - I'd be interested in helping with a launch event.
I will keep everybody updated on progress (bylaws, website, staff, board, etc). If anyone wants to help out, let me know.
Might have a thread for the last updates in a project, could be stickified.

How do I have the thread to be stickied?
Cool! I also intend to make such an organization in a few years...first got to work on college. Doesn't mean I won't be able to contribute in whatever ways one can without having money and from the west coast.

I'd be happy to sticky it when it's closer to the official stage...
I am planning on keeping AFF updated on the project.

I do need help on different things. If anyone can help out in any way, just send me a PM to let me know which way(s) that they can help.
This is what I need help on:
* create a logo for it
* create a mission statement
* create the goals and purpose
Remember this non-profit gears towards autism acceptance/rights with the autistic-NT alliance.

I forgot to mention this, but for the logo, I DO NOT want a puzzle piece and/or the puzzle ribbon in the logo. We are not puzzles.
The motto that I picked out for the non-profit is "Support, Love, and Acceptance."
The mission statement of the organization is The mission of (name of non-profit) is to promote the autism acceptance and rights movement by both autistics and their allies and to promote the education about autism.
The positions:
* To promote the autism acceptance and rights movement with the use of both autistics and allies.
* To promote the education of autism to dismiss the myths about autism, show the realities of autism, and promote the autistic culture.
* To promote that autism does not need a cure, but rather support, love, and acceptance.
