Aspies For Freedom

This is a poem by my daughter age 13.

You are a true friend,
That I want to know.
Our love for each other,
Has helped us to grow.
We have been through some tough times,
But we've made it through,
The only friend I ever trusted was you.

You helped me through anger,
You've chased away my fears.
You held me through sadness,
And wiped away my tears.

You stayed by my side,
When the world turned away.
You helped me see joy,
When all the skies were grey.

You were the rainbow,
At the end of the storm.
You encouraged my differences,
Not to conform.

You held my hand,
When you knew we would fall.
Every heartache ...
You saw me through it all.

I'm not sure,
I'm always the best friend to you.
I know I'm not perfect,
But this much is true.

When life gets you down,
And there is nowhere to turn.
I'll help you through and,
I'll share your concern.

I'll try my best,
To return every favour,
When you feel you can't cope ...
I'll be your lifesaver.

Whether you sink or swim,
Doesn't matter at all,
Just know that I'll be there ....
Whenever you call.

So to all of you I say....
Look after your friends,
Each .......
And everyday

That is a great poem. It is nice to remember those special friends, as I do remember mine.

What if you don't have friends to look after?

That is an amazing poem. Your daughter is gifted.

She is very interested in humanities, but also gaming theory at the same time. Just like her father, but she won't admit it.

I wrote a poem about teaching science that had the uni lecturer crying slightly. I do have the talent as well but I don't practice it.
