So I know a lot of people talk bad about their bosses, it's almost a reputation it seems, that bosses must be nasty.
Well, for me, that's not the case. I've got to say, I couldn't have asked for a better boss than the one I have now. One of my co-workers talks bad about him, but honestly, she starts everything first, then flips it around and turns it against him in some odd way, trying to make him look bad.
He's caring, he actually -care-s about each employee (granted we're a very small vet clinic, only about 10 people or so, but still...). He's one of those people who still -cares- about the animals and not just the money.
And he knows me. He doesn't know I'm an Aspie, as since it's not official yet I haven't announced it at work yet (though I feel it'd be easily accepted, that's just the kind of people we are there). He knows I hate working reception, and last week I had to work reception ALL AFTERNOON. Then after my shift was over, he came up to me and said "You know, you did a good job up there, but I swear, I'll try to never make you work a full reception shift again." I'm just so thankful for that. In fact, he gave me a raise that day (out of nowhere, I -just- got one 2 months ago, now I got another one...I'm puzzled, to say the least), and 3 days later he hired a new person to work reception. Hes truly a man of his word
Sometimes I even think he may be an Aspie himself, the way he acts, or the things he says sometimes. He and I probably get along best out of all the employees. I'm happy to have been at a place like this, where I fit well, with pople i can get along with, for 2 years
