Firstly, I would like to thank everyone for welcoming me to AFF. I found it very warm and welcoming to be welcomed here, where I can share and voice my opinions on Autism/Asperger's and respond to posts on forums.

I finished school and waiting for a place at college. The college that I want to go is all the way in Essex, and I really really want to go there... But I initially thought they won't accept me because of my statement. This was when I go worried. Anyway, long story short, the reason why I want to go to the college in Essex is because I want to be away from the people who made my life a living hell when I attended secondary school, and start a fresh. I even went a bit OTT, by thinking of leaving the country! Lol, that'll probably happen but not so soon.

What were your days at school like?

That's all
Hi Jannine, nice to have you in AFF. I know how you feeling at the moment due to the fact I have been bullied at my school, but I should tell you will meet nasty people everywhere. There is a saying that the grass is greener on the other side, which basically means there are better places. I’m afraid that saying is bullshit as I learnt, everywhere there are cool people and assholes co-existing.
Starting fresh I think is as much for the way others will look at you as for the way you look at others.  Good idea to get aawy from people who may if they weren't always horrible may have pigenholed you as a label etc.,  Also, form what I understand of the ways age groups develop you will be much more likely to find more agreeable people at college.. people may have grown up and be less likely to have the group mentality. I only had a minute so I will just say welcome to you!
