Nope you dont get excused from smashing kittys. You get to feel guilty the rest of your life. I know that sounds snarky but at age 50+ I still carry deep guilt about something I did to a dog at age 9 which was cruel but not fatal. I have not excused myself.
Now the good part. Amid the guilt and shame, I vowed that all animals would get the very best of care from me for the rest of my life and that I would make their days on this earth as happy and secure as possible, including doing animal rescue work. The animals have enriched my life beyond measure. Perhaps you might consider that path.
Maybe I should have waited until I figured out how to word that reply better. I still don't have one. I'm trying to say, you'll probably still feel guilty and that’s not always bad.
As to your parents, you scared them. What they probably are needing to see is visible evidence of your remorse and an offer from you to do some sort of penance or reparation to show you plan to act differently in the future.
If it was me, I’d probably go to them and say “I am so sorry for my actions and feel so badly for the poor cat. Nothing I do will bring the cat back. I want to skip eating lunch and do odd jobs for the next 2 weeks to save money and donate it to (local animal charity). Or do you know of some better way?”
Or, I dunno. Do you think you need to see a psychatrist? I don't really know a thing about you.
Is this guy serious, or trolling do you think?
If you did, then you really need to think about finding another interest other than games, killing a cat? it doesnt GET much worse, and you deserve that guilt for the rest of your life.
trolling do you think?
I dunno. I hope so. I observed that the first two posters joined today and they both have commented only on the same two threads.
My troll detector is clicking like crazy at the moment, we are known cat lovers, so its a logical target position for the bridge-dwelling vermin of the net
That said, if he did throw a brick at a cat, I think he should donate money to an animal charity for a long time, and own up to the cats companions, stand there, and take a brick back.

An eye for an eye.
Yeah, it's kind of weird how much Aspies love cats (I have three myself). I think there was only like one person on here who didn't like cats, according to that poll we had last year. It seems to be a more ubiquitous characteristic than some of the other diagnostic criteria; perhaps "fondness of cats" should be added to the DSM-V when it comes out? Hahaha...
As for the original topic, anyone who gets upset enough about a video game to throw a brick at anything, let alone an animal, has some serious anger issues and should probably seek professional help as soon as possible. What about the cat's owners? Were they informed of the incident?
Well if the OP is like me and his family owns a brick-manufacturing business, then there are probably bricks laying around everywhere. The way I understood it, though, was that the cat (and the brick, presumably) was outside and he ran out the door before throwing anything.

Whow; that will put aspies in the vicinity of feminists in the DSM V.

Agression like this because of what ever is a big mental problem.

^ Good advice.
You did what you did in the heat of the moment--you lost control. If you were a psychopath you wouldn’t feel guilty about what you did. But you have to deal with these anger issues (possibly with professional help) or else it could happen again.
I can also imagine how this might happen. When I was younger I had some pretty significant anger issues myself. I use to punch walls, doors and get into serious rages. Over time I learnt to manage my anger. Now, although I'm still quite a volatile person I can control myself usually.
I'm guessing, you're still young...and haven't learnt to control your anger yet.
Until you do...try to displace your anger onto inanimate objects.

It would be better for all concerned.
^ I've said my bit...I won't be posting any more on this thread anyway--thanks for the advice atypical.

I don't see how being an Aspie has much to do with it. I guess it might lower your impulses or something, but if you know you're that impulsive and you're not taking action to learn how NOT to be... then you deserve the guilt you feel. Impulsivity isn't really even an Aspie characteristic; I would not be surprised to hear that the original poster has ADHD in addition.
But guilt is not there just to make you feel bad. It's there to get you to change your behavior.
That said. Killing a cat is wrong but it doesn't mean you're an irretrievably psychopathic human being. (It actually means you're not psychopathic. If you were, you wouldn't have felt guilty. You'd probably be blaming the guy who killed your character.) What it does mean is that you have a problem and you need to solve it, NOW, before you hurt anyone else.
I had a very similar situation. Last night one of my cats walked in front of my computer screen and my character in an online game died. I grabbed the cat and set her on the floor--not as lovingly as I usually do; I just grabbed her round the middle and let her legs dangle--but not in such a way as to actually hurt her. Then I called her "damn cat" and went back to my game.

I used to fear/dislike cats greatly for the majority of my youth, stemming from an incident when I was 5 or 6 and the cat at my grandparents house scratched my arm pretty bad.
Now, I'm ambivalent about cats. I would not say I have "fondness of cats," though.
yeah, i'll go with Silky and Quickduck; you have an anger management problem.
you are currently externalising the anger, which is uh, only slightly healther than internalising.
you might want to, I dont know, take up martial arts or w/e...? my anger management sucks.
/drunk.
What are you drinking?
They say Aspies should avoid Rum, due to VERY high levels of salicylates. I always wanted to know why I would get dizzy and nauseaous after only a couple shots of rum, now I have the answer.
Methinks good quality whiskey is the better drink, and the better buzz, overall.
