Have this small norwegian blog community that I've called "Norwegian AS/Autism bloggers" (just in norwegian), consisting of two blogging in norwegian (including me at A-spies HQ Norway) and one norwegian blogging in english.
I just came across a norwegian blog by someone who blogs about his experiences with ADHD and I have now begun thinking about the pros and cons about this possible expanding of the community by 33%.
I see that in his most recent post, which was apparently from the 22th of May (he has apparently been alot more active in the three previous years) he talks of sensory overload and mentions that it is common among autistics.
I've seen that on the norwegian forum there's alot of confusion about the difference between AS and ADHD, I'm not sure if the line is more exact in the English speaking world as I don't know much about ADHD at all.
Many of those only diagnosed with ADHD on the norwegian forum tell they feel alot in common with people on the spectrum. One also tells she experienced being misdiagnosed and put on inappropriate medication for ADHD and later found she fit the criteria for Asperger's better - but I'm not sure what really is the case with most of these with ADHD diagnoses.
Rambling
The idea of the blog community was really to have a base for a norwegian autistic community, as it is mostly just parents who are organized nowadays, so it is first of all meant for adults and youth on the spectrum. There are some blogging parents, but they seem to be quite biomed indoctrinated, have as far as I've seen not been updated for half a year, and apparently doesn't have RSS either - so I'm not really considering including those. ;p
Think I might have to change the name from "Norwegian AS/Autism bloggers" if I want it to be more like a community than a battleground between biomed and neurodiversity. A name for a possible organization in norwegian for people on the spectrum, including all of those able to somehow participate, was "Autistic Network", so I guess something like "Autistic Network's Blogring" could be a name.
