So, what is the vision of Autfinity, or is that something that still needs to be worked out?
My understanding is that the "offical" model is currently a private resort. Someone who knows more can correct me on this.

I see Autfinity as... A goal. something to leave to future generations, a place founded on the ideology that Autism is something to be celebrated. wiether this be a Building, a Neighbourhood, a Town or the oft-dreamt of Island, a place that we can live and be who we are, or visit if we need time out.

First off, just wanted to make sure you're talking about autfinity island (or city, or town), as "autfinity" is just the name of the rainbow infinity logo used on the site.
Autfinity island is simply about getting a lot of autistic people living in the same place, and allowing an autistic culture/economy/lifestyle to develop.
The private resort idea hasn't really been settled on, it's just one idea for funding the initial project.
I think that a town, or section of a town, would be a good idea. Also with islands, that mostly means going on a plane or boat to get there, an idea that's not so hot for me...
I believe this is a very bad idea, I experience it more as a way to get rid of most autistic people, or something like that. This is a time when we can express who we are. We have to help educate the people on how they can deal with autism. Not live in exclusion.

but this is not an idea thought up by people who wish to be rid of autism; rather, this was an idea that (to my knowledge) was cooked up by one of the co-founders and owners of this site, Amy.
Autfinity is an ideal, something we can strive to attain. currently, we are looking into founding a charity/trust, so we can begin our efforts in earnest.

Actually, the original name for the logo was "the infinity snake", before it changed to simply the "infinity spectrum" or "spectrum logo".
