(I have not read everyone else threads, yet pardon me if I'm being redundant).
This seems to me a case about when parents need to use some common sense. It must not be a happy place for their son if he can't manage himself enough (or his parents can't manage him enough) to not bump into people. This is not the same thing as a kid (or adult any age) blurting out or talking during mass making it hard to even hear - that happens all the time - or a kid running the aisles - this turns into a size issue - a little kid won't hurt anyone by running around. Why did the parents let it come to this? The parents will lose a civil liability case - if anyone gets hurt - Coomon sense is not common.
As far as the disability act - I guess this church doesn't have a child room - where he could be however he needs to be - but not a danger to anyone - you know those (quiet rooms in some churches where kids scream but noone can hear) My church is too small to have one.
I feel terrible for the family that they have resorted to making their kid have to try to conform in a place unsuitable to him, (and visa versa - to tohers) just so they can go to church, I wish that they could afford or work out a way to leave him at home.
