"According to police in New York City, schoolteacher Wayne Brightly, 38, who was having trouble passing the state's modest certification exam, paid a former mentor, Rubin Leitner, to take the test for him. Though Leitner is a learned man, he is also age 58, white, chubby and afflicted with the autism-like Asperger's syndrome, while Brightly is 38, black and thin. When Leitner (using the fake ID Brightly had supplied) scored high on the test, officials naturally wanted to interview Brightly to ask about his sudden brilliance, but Brightly decided to send Leitner to the meeting, instead, virtually assuring that the ruse would collapse. [New York Daily News, 3-22-05] "
Hehe. I thought this was funny and obviously proves the school teacher is an idiot...
This is actually 'old news' http://www.aspiesforfreedom.com/phpBB2/v...php?t=1166

Although it doesn't seem to mention in the original that the guy even sent the Aspie to the interview. How on earth did he figure that would work?
 Didn't relize it was old news. I thought it was funny, and it proves the NT was the idiot.... Wink (Winkie face to point out I'm not saying all NTs are idiots)

Yes that was my reaction when this was posted originally on AI, although a fair amount of people protested since they did not like that the Aspie was portrayed as naive (enough to do this for the other guy).

In the full report it does mention he was blackmailed though so who knows what nasty tactics the idiot cheat applied to get him to sit the exam for him!

I did like that it contradicts with the view that all Aspies are supposed to lack common sense, and that NTs are supposed to have it!
