Gregory (197? - 1976) our only unneutered cat, a male. A real stinker. I got along well with him but my brother wasn't ready for a pet. I think we abandoned him not knowing else what to do- for brother's sake
Tizzle (1978) - female, not known if spayed, probably someone else's, ran away, stayed for the extra meals, stayed long enough to get her foot caught in a locking portable steel file cabinet (yeoww indeed)
Caesar (1985-1986) rescued stray, given full round of neutering. Joined us on long summer car trip. Made good friends with cat without claws (Aunt Cheryl's cat Tiger), not good friends with Aunt Effie's cat Smoky. Dad reported killed by motorist, did not see for self.
Callie (1987-1990) a gift from brother's classmate (original name Screamer), the smallest kitty in litter. Seems Chop Chop ran her off. Also named Lt. Callie or Sgt. Furry.
Chop Chop (1988 - my custody 1999, reported dead 2002) Dad rescued her rather than have small kids bring her (kitten) to Humane Society (known that H.S. has to euthanize the excess population). Callie thought we were replacing her, to be sure, crying on the deck. They made peace eventually, but Callie never came home one day in the summer of 1990. I gave Chop Chop away when it was politically incorrect to keep the cat at Mom's apt in 1999: Mom and management were in a war over repairing the cold water which was running hot. The new owner and wife called her Psychokitty (their macaw also called her Psycho Kitty) and reported her dead in 2002 - 2003.
Chloe (b. 2002, 2003 - ) - rescued by Metroferals.org feline rescue organization of North Arlington county, Virginia. I adopted her about mid-March 2003 already spayed with shots. I had to pay for the I.D. microchip (Home Again) myself. She is an exceptionally friendly cat on the par with Caesar and slightly more perhaps than Callie, definitely more than Chop Chop, who seemed autistic.
