FYI...

Whether you fancy yourself as the next Van Gogh or just love a bit of feel-good, 'healthy competition', get your pencils at the ready because Pictionary is back and it's raising all-important funds for Autism. To mark Australia's Autism Awareness Month this May 2008, Mattel's classic game of 'quick draw' has teamed up with charity Alpha Autism to launch 'Drawtism', a campaign highlighting the communication challenges faced by people living with autism.

In addendum to the above... have been for a wander through the "what is Autism/what is Aspergers" section of the site, and I'm relieved to see it apparently only affects children so we should all consider ourselves cured.  It's all "children with Aspergers" this and "children with autism" that, as if it all clears up when we hit 18.

Well thank goodness.  I will run home and tell my husband he has been "cured".  Wink

Yeah, it's a pity because other than that it looks a good idea - and the funds raised go towards support, rather than cure research.  Ironically, the support is for these autistic adults that don't exist - there are some wires crossed somewhere, and it's not just in autistic brains...
