Every Sunday I DREAD having to iron my clothes. Every Sunday I put it off. Every Sunday I decide that even though I have many nice clothes that I could wear that I need to iron, I will instead wear the ones that I do not need to iron, as I hate ironing!
I think we should revolt.
My husband went off on a rant recently about neckties and their repression of society. Made him less than popular at the office.

I quite enjoy ironing! I've find it soothing - I listen to the radio while I'm ironing.
And yes....I know it's weird!

I hate ironing as well. I tend to buy clothes that I dont have to iron. I told my husband I dont like to iron when we got married and he irons his own shirts and pants in the morning.

(don't iron) my husband was a new york city bachelor for yaers before we met so he is convinced that his shirt must be dry cleaned becasue the shiorts "last longer". I am not going to tell him differently. I try not to wear clothing that needs to be ironed and since I am not employed by anyone (home with kids), I do not have to dress up. It is unfair that womens clothing is so much more expensive to dry clean. A blouse is 3.50 per and a shirt is only 1.00 per. (I don't like to iron at all)
My husband and son don't like to wear artificial fibers - they like cotton and my son lprefers buttoned down shirts with the buttons all the way buttoned. His shirts I just hang and put in the dryer for a few minutes. But he isn't being paid to look like the boss so if I only leav him t-shirts he has to wear them. For me as long as it is clean, it doesn't matter.
Why don't you hang the clothes out to dry?
I either hang clothes outside, when the weather's good, or inside on a clothes horse or pulley. If you give them a shake before you hang them out then no-iron or minimum iron clothes should be fine without ironing.
Some people just hate ironing. I just hate shaving my legs and armpits but I do it or people say yuck and I don't like all the hair either.
Lol! Yep, I'm the only person I know, here or IRL who enjoys ironing!
I'm with you on the shaving thing...I have friends who go and get waxed, but I like that idea even less.
I don't do ironing. I don't wear shirts anymore for that reason. Marcia, you can do mine!
I like being waxed... its a nice sensory experience for me... thats the weird pain thing.
It is definitely a better deal GW... it lasts for up to 6 weeks, its a lot smoother when it grows back, and I feel all woman *bounces around on bed*
That last part will only mean something to UK residents who remember that annoying Veet ad...
Is waxing a better deal than shaving or is it a rip off? Double entendre of the day?
Lol!

I was waiting for Ian to come in here and negotiate his cut for managing an ironing deal.
I'm rubbish at folding, so they'd be all creased by the time they got back to you!
I totally missed that pun re waxing :|
ocampo, when you rip it off, does it hurt?
I thought it felt similar to being tattooed, GW... and I love being under the tattooist's needle...
Saying that I cry like a baby at getting a blood test.
