Could I possibly have it? what is it? lol

I'm intrigued.
I think that it is for all intents and purposes a parallel diagnosis many times, of aspergers - some Doctors do not use aspergers as a diagnosis, they instead use PDD-NOS - pervasive developmental (delay or disability) - Non-specific - I think that is what it stands for.  like a catch all - it gets your kid as much "Support" (I think) as the ASD DX.
TO be more specific- some Doctors use PDD-NOS for clients that are NOT autistic as well.
Pervasive Developmental Disorder - Not Otherwise Specified.
Helpful.

Bah i'll make up me own mind.

What would make you think you have PDD-NOS instead of Asperger's...?

Isn't PDD-NOS what you get called if you fulfil the criteria for a developmental disorder in general, but don't tick enough boxes for any particular one?
yeah usually

i think it's a rotten name because i don't understand why it's "pervasive"

Because you're a whiney bitch.

Seriously, because I clearly don't tick all the boxes.

"Pervasive"... actually, that's a jolly good question, so I went and wikipedia'ed it.

Apparently it's "pervasive" in the sense that it affects multiple aspects of development, social skills and fine motor skills, for argument's sake*.  If there's just one aspect, it's a "Specific Developmental Disorder".

*Although let's not HAVE an argument over it, m'kay?  They were just the first two obvious things that popped into my head and no further correspondence will be entered into. Smile
I mean I see loads of Aspie things I do...but I also see loads of things I never do Tongue
Ok thanks for looking it up for me Smile
I aim to please Smile

Actually, I hadn't though of it til you asked, and then it bugged me until I looked it up!
