To the parents on this forum, I want to sound a resounding "thank you."  You have made an excellent choice to have children, love them, and to give them all that you have.  You have made a choice that goes beyond selfishness.

To be honest, I have never had children.  Therefore, I have a sense of awe at your dedication, and pray that it be mine.  I do not have much to say other than that.  My last word to you is; please do not give up.  Never, ever, ever give up.

Thank you.

All the best to all of you.
You are a good man ATM.
I hope you get to enjoy the priviledge of having children of your own some day.

Again - you give a good message - "don't ever give up on your children". I was told by members of the mental health profession to give up on my son. They told me to turn him out of his home.

Ignorance from people whose job it is to care. So sad.

Anyway - my son brings me joy.
Thank you ATM Smile

Your post are reassuring - I like it when you post.

All the best.
Thank you ATM for your very kind post.  Before anything else, I am a mother, and I love my daughter more than anything.

Never give up is just....great.  Something we should all keep in mind, I think.  I am having a hard time putting the right words together.  But thank you for your kind post, anyway.

I really enjoy reading your posts.  They cause me to think.  Like read, step back, think, read some more, think some more, that kind of thought.
Hi ATM,

"Never Give Up" is something my son tells himself all the time.  In fact it's posted up in his karate dojo.  I had never planned on being a mom, but it has truly changed my life for the better Smile

Thank-you ATM, that was a lovely thing to say. Smile

Thank you Lucie1, and to all of the others, for making the good decisions about prioritizing your children!

All the best.

Now, my challenge for the student I help is this; How to help him to understand that he does not have to become NT in order to become the best he can be.

I wonder if any of you grown-ups have any clues?

All the best.
