For ds #2 (4th grade) they cherry picked the best kids at test taking and then the school will get credit (An award) for how good these cherry picked kids are. Our #2 son is an excellent test taker (as I was) so he was chosen - they don't even give us the results and this is the only year he has been in public school -a nd next year he won't be. It's not fair that thet get credit and not him. Ds #1 got his 5th grade rsults back earlier in the school year and scored like 20th percentile in math. ( that didn't count either)

I loved doing the CMTs (CT Mastery Tests)...except for the essays because that was before I was allowed a computer...my scores were much better when I was allowed to type. I got extended time and didn't have to deal with the Scantrons at all.
I went to private high school...the SATs almost killed me...six hours...i was crying by the end because my eyes hurt so bad from reading even though i got a super large print test.
But I didn't have to take CAPT because I was in private school!!!
