in the bathroom this evening. Hes only about 2cm big (less than 1")
Your posts have made me smile quite a bit!  So much appreciated!

My kitties would have consumed it rather quickly.  The kitten is still attempting to get at a nail way up on the wall (that was there when we moved in) and the big cat was happily playing with a very large spider the other night.  We are affectionally calling her "spider hunter" now.
Okay, not everyone would photograph a moth in their bathroom Big Grin

I compliment you on your photography skills. The picture is quite good for something so small.

Very big!  We seem to have had an eruption of yellow-sac spiders in the house.  We just had company, so I am not sure, maybe they brought them (yet another reason NOT to have house guests!) But more likely than not, it is just this new house.  Being 6 blocks from the ocean in the most "perfect" climate, we have no screens on the windows.

Sorry, Doc, I feel as if I took over your thread with spider talk
(nope, no more house guests of any kind)  Smile

What type of moth is this-and how did it get into your bathroom?

It looks like one of those little flimsy ones who's drawn to lights...

First of all, I don't owe any rights on this thread. I actually like talking about spiders as well- no problemSmile

I don't know what kind of moth it is, maybe Natalie can help us with thisWink

And to your last question - She probably came in through the bathroom window, attracted by a (silver) light we keep on the whole night.Rolleyes

Yeah, Natalie may know, for sure.  Smile

Your last paragraph instantly reminded me of the Beatles song
( remade by Joe Cocker)-
"She came In through the bathroom window"

Now it's playing in my head Smile

OK, from time to time I use this corner to show you pictures of our guests.
Tonight we had a baby praying mantis (about 2.5 cm, or 1")
She catched her own food, a fruit fly, probably from the area of our compost.

Except of the smallness, the darkness was an additional challenge.
I knew that there was not much time to arrange sufficiant light, so a 20W halogen spot from my worktable had to do the job, while I was leaning with one ellbow on the banister.
