Hi I'm new here. My daughter is 7 and has AS, ADHD and an anxiety disorder. She is bright, funny, obnoxious, rigid sweet hearted and all of the other contraditions these wonderful children can be. She has been toe walking since birth. I have been seeking help for her because she is tall for her age and is not able to participate in sports due to the pain in her legs. We tried PT for a few months and weren't getting much results. Now, we have and orthopedic doctor that we saw today and he wants to give her Botox injections into her muscles. She has several complications due to the toe walking. leaning forward to walk, not being able to straighten her legs, pain and tightening shoulders. Have any of you ever had this done to your children or know anyone who has? What has been the results? It scares me. It is pretty common with kids with CP but I'm looking for some feedback from the AS community. Thank you so much. By the way, I live in the US and all of this is very expensive. She will be having hydro therapy, physical therapy, and therapy with horses.
