How do you see it as being demeaning? I can sought of guess - I guess. But it doesn't have to be that way.

I don't think you are any kind of spiritual messenger.

You didn't show me where ATM told us that autism was gods way for creating a race of prophets.

ATM is entitled to think what he likes. If he didn't have autism himself - I would consider his thoughts demeaning - but the fact that he has autism changes and puts a different perspective on his thoughts.

As I see it - he is honest and his intentions are good. I love to read his posts and I value his contributions to this forum.

Maybe ATM believes that every baby born is born for a higher purpose in Gods will. This my take on his message.

Zacchie - on this forum - in the interests of honesty and good will we need to be very careful - not to misrepresent what other people say.

People are entitled to have spiritual beliefs - even aspies on this forum are entitled to their individual beliefs.

I believe you do ATM an injustice when you seek to back up Ethels words.

When you do this - it becomes about personalities - not about facts. I believe in openess and honestly - not personality attacks for no valid reason.

ATM has strong spiritual beliefs and he is a teacher. His spiritual beliefs come through in his thoughts as expressed here on this forum.

I don't believe his words were added as a disclaimer.

Zacchie - I apologise for the word "shame". I was angry.

To me it felt like you went out of way to support Ethel over me - without looking to see if your comments were just. That is how it felt to me and that is what drove me to post the word shame.

Thank you, Zakkie. I find it increasingly difficult to have a sensible debate, because what I say is going to be immediately suspect by virtue of the fact that I'm big bad mean Ethel, regardless of the content of what I'm saying.

He spiritualises everyone - not just people with autism.

People within the autistic rights movement are entitled to have spiritual beliefs - whether you like it or not zacchie.

To deny people their rights to spiritual beliefs is an impingment on a personal freedom.
