LTP (Long Term Potentiation) is what causes the persistent effects with rTMS. It's quite haunting to read about this. I damn well like my repetitive behaviours!

I can see the quacks getting out their spaghetti colanders and fridge magnets all over America.  

I wonder if he pays his test subjects.  As a starving student, these psychology experiments paid $20.  That could buy almost a week of lunches.  Some people would say almost anything they wanted for that $20.  "patients showed fewer symptoms of hyperactivity, sensory overload and repetitive behaviors"-- How does he measure this, by observing the subjects or getting them to answer a questionnaire?

If it works then good.  But i am in no need and am not about to stick a magnet to my head.

rTMS can be used in multiple ways, some of which are highly disturbing and others of which seem highly beneficial.
