I was feeding some of my snakes today, and when I was moving one into the feeding container I unwittingly dropped a piece of their aspen bedding into a Cellar Spider's web. For some reason the spider thought it was an insect, because it went over to the piece of wood and tried to envenomate it. It was vehemently trying to find a vulnerable spot in its "prey" for about five minutes before I accidentally got too close with the camera and made it run away.
