Assuming that you know the girl so as she doesn't think that you are actually stalking her:
1) Name a function, event etc.
2) State: "Would you like to go to" this event, function etc.
Now what I'm about to say is controversial, but next if you are as old as I am, she will size you up for support purposes, and things may start off very cool. Who knows, there may even be another man out there even if she does go out with you. And then there's thinking about her sexual history and emotional baggage.
Son, ask her out now before 15 years pass by and you wonder how you've got to the position that I'm in.

Pakrat agreed with you, Batman, hey even Dustin agreed with you! Maybe everyone else is more optomistic - after what is it again? Faint heart never won fair lady! (That doesn't look right, but you know what I mean!)

She would probably say,
If you love someone let her go
if she loves you she will come back
if she doesn't it wasn't meant to be (translation: she doesn't love you)
And judging from her behavior, it isn't meant to be/she doesn't love you.
You don't wanna be misidentified as a hostile stalker do ya and fired on, put in the can, etc.?
U deserve better. I hope Betty the Better comes to you soon.
In my case, it certainly took me not less than 17 years and counting.

Dude.
You asking relationship advice from wrong kind of people.
IMHO, I don't think you should "give up" but rather don't worry about it. Hi and just generally be friendly don't get in her face let her come to you. As for other girls, try joining a club and befriending someone there. I met Pat in the library, we've talked about anime and books for hours.
You'll find someone
BTW Guess Who? Still bitching and moaning about not finding a chick? And your giving relationship advice I Lol'd

Nix the aspergers syndrome announcement at a first meeting... even your aspie brain should have told you TMI (too much info) Watch some tv shows on how cool nice guys ask a girl out.. ask about her, her interests.. .learn some NT humour..women love a man with a sense of humour... I know I married one 33 yrs ago... he still makes me laugh. Don't be possessive... Possessive means controlling and NUTZ Red Flag. Watch some old 1940 movies and how cool guys back then treated women... WOmen love Nerds.. my husband is a nerd...Art Garfunkel is a nerd... you just have to learn to be nerd cool. Marilyn Monroe married Arthur Miller who was a nerd and she made it known she had the hots for einstein who was an aspie. Attractive women love nerdy guys...Just learn some social skills from some nice classic movies and English dramas... and if she still does not like you... There are more fish in the sea...

I posted a few threads ago.. that Iw as having some girl troubles and she actually has now trended colder against me as she's meeting other guys which is cool but I prob was to pushy or awkward which is typical . Anyway I'm not to upset about it. But I still somewhat like her.. Very Happy So anyway which of these 4 ways would be a good way to ask her. It's to hard to ask in person at a part time job so I'll ask on aim.
1. Hey I've put in my notice at CFA, so I've done it a year. yay, anyway it was great getting to know you and we should hang out sometime.
2. Hey I put in my notice at CFA, and I was wondering would you go to a movie with me? As I've really enjoyed getting to know you, and I prob won't see you again as I'm moving within the month.
3. Hey, I've really been happy to get to know you. I may seem a bit awkward as I have Asperger's Syndrome, but I was wondering if you would give me a chance and go on a date with me.
4. PLEASE DATE ME!
5. other (please explain).

Err, not quite BardWolf. I have been dating Keisha, the daughter of someone who used to work in Accounting on 2nd floor.
I am not sure if she wants to travel with me to Idaho, family reunion in June, but she does let me buy her dinner, DC soul food restaurant B Smith ($100 for two), and the beef and brew Hops in Alexandria ($50 for two).
She knows I am serious about finding the right intelligent woman.

^ Thats bull.
Older girls are just as egostical and self-loving as girls that are 16. Trust me I am 21. and I have pleny of girl-friends that care only for themselves and have high standards In some sense it's for a good reason. But it can be limiting.
@Guess Who, Lol'd it's about time you find someone.

Actually she's 26, so she's an adult daughter.
There's no cradle robbery here.
She's college educated, working at NIH, and wants to be a lawyer.

I guess you figured she'd be 21 if she went into a beef and beer house. she likes apple flavored martinis.

I still talk to the girl. It appears her IM behavior had nothing to do with me. Anyway she's still bossy as hell. She spilled a drink and told me to clean it up, while she just stood there and smiled. Which of course I did, I don't know why I do w/e this girl says but I do. I listen to all her stories too but at least she talks.

Girls don't like guys they can walk all over, they like challenges. So next time she tells you to do something, don't do it if its going out of your way or if she can do it herself. Its good to be nice and to be helpful but cleaning up her drinks is sending out the wrong impression.
