A gentle article by the mother of a second grader Aspie.  Mom is a an associate professor of English.  Dad is a professor of History.  Sounds like thier son is a pretty lucky kid.

Doesn't it seem a bit sick or mean to try to get children feeling upset trying to imagine how their thanksgiving turkey felt about getting slaughtered and making them compose what is supposed a written plea from the fowl?  I don't see any purpose to that, unless she was promoting vegetarianism.
