Since autism speaks is sucha biased organization I came up with the idea to post debate threads that ask constructive questions. The more dissent we encourage in those forums the weaker their cause becomes. It may be scary for some people, but it is worth trying.

I created fake ID and crap, do not want them having any contact with me. Do not tell anyboy on autism speaks about this it is undercover. We want them to be as unsuspecting as possible.

You might want to use a proxy server whenever you log onto their site. Site admins can trace IP addresses, you know.
On my Macintosh, I use a program called WebGhost to subscribe to and manage my connections to proxy servers. If you're on a Mac, I'd suggest that. If you're on Windows or Linux, I'm sure there's a good equivalent. You might want to research that.

Is it illegal?
No. I bought it at CompUSA (before that chain of stores closed), so I think it's safe to assume it's legal.
I might mention, it's just to keep the average schmuck of a site admin from tracking you down. If, for example, the FBI wants to find you, they still can.
You might want to move this message to the general, members-only forum if you don't want non-members to be able to read it. However, I don't think you need to hide your identity. There's nothing wrong with stating your viewpoint in a polite way on the AS forums.

IT WAS CALLED FOR!
If it's just an open debate, it doesn't have to be secret
If it's something that has to be secret I want no part in it

How do you fake ID? Your name is obvious, but how do you fake an e-mail address etc?
I was lurking on the autism speaks forums and I'm thinking of joining and debating in our favour. At teh moment I'm stalling because I'm useless with techie stuff and I don't know how to fake details properly.
I don't see a point in using a fake name. I just used the same name there as I used here.
OK. It's just that I don't really want Aut Speaks having access to my full details. Partly because I'm worried about Spam.
I don't want to do it in secret or anything like that, I'm just not sure about telling this organisation exactly who I am and where they can contact me.
Then again, it might be best to give me proper details in case I get banned or something- I would need to find out if that was the case.
I think I'm maybe stalling because I'm a bit nervous if I'm honest

. I don't know why. I'd like to go on there and say my piece, but, as I said, I don't like the idea of Autism Speaks having my details.
I've just registered. I was a bit nervous but, hey, well, it's just a forum.

If you have to use a fake name then you're in one of 2 situations:
1 - Your views are (or will be seen as) not defendable without resorting to sneaky tactics. I have an account on the autism speaks forums and have been open from the start about my purpose there, I will not make our cause look bad by being sneaky, and the responses which attacked me directly show a lot more how irrational curebies are.
2 - You are afraid in some way - don't be. While I honestly believe that the management of autism speaks are pure scum, the majority of the users on their online forums and their donors are simply misinformed. Of the autism speaks supporters that do get nastier, I have yet to encounter stalker-type behaviour from them. Regardless, posting this in public completely destroys your defence.
For anyone who does not want autism speaks to have their EMail address simply setup a throw-away account on hotmail or another free service, or even better - let them spam. Remember the old saying "keep your friends close and your enemies closer". I have received automated mails from them trying to urge to "pass on the word" about various fundraisers which I would otherwise have been unaware of.
I am willing to bet that someone from autism speaks or their forums will in fact be reading this thread right now, so anyone discussing trying to post there in secret has completely defeated the point of secrecy.

I have already joined using all my proper details, but I have not let them send me spam. My Dad (who doesn't know I'm on there) reckons American sites absolutely bombard you. I don't know if this is true for Aut Speaks, but I'd rather not take the chance.
If there are major fundraisers going on, somebody will start a thread about them. I'll find out that way report back if need be.
