I am sure I need not explain who he is.

That is so sad.

I read all his books avidly as a teenager, sci-fi and science. His was a truly towering intellect. The world would be so different had he not existed.

We should give thanks that he lived as long as he did. There are so few of my childhood heroes left.

He who shall not grow old, as we grow old.

For he has moved on from this reality.

damn...Gygax is gone...Clarke is gone...
