A couple of weeks ago I read an article in my local newspaper that blew my mind, and I just wanted to see if I was the only naive idiot out here.

To be brief, the article said that sexism is WAY stronger than racism, and that as a result, Obama has a much, much better chance of being elected than Hillary.  This shocked me.  For some reason, I thought racism was stronger.  I guess if it was black man vs. white man, racism would be the deciding factor.  I'm just really pissed off and disoriented that I could be so naive as to think that a white woman would be more acceptable than a black man in this sexist, racist country.  I mean, for god's sake, we've only been out of slavery for a bit over a hundred years.  Women were never OFFICIALLY enslaved, and I guess that's the point.  It's subtle and pervasive.
It may be the, women think with their heart, men think with their brain mentality.
I think some of the problem with Hilary is because of the Clinton link. Not so much because she's a woman, but because its the relation to Bill. Whereas Barack doesn't have that link to a past leadership.
