the BBC have done a very positive review of aspies for freedom!!
they have mentioned our stance about cures but they have placed it in a positive light instead of negative!

Sort of reads like a who's who of famous maybe-aspies.

somebody didn't do their research...over 20,000 members?
try almost 8000...?
that said, it is a positive, if a little patronising, article...and no negative comments! ^_^

are there no well known people with official/self diagnoses - or who are at least willing to share this info?

I read it again after getting your post...what did you feel was patronizing?
I just feel relieved that they mentioned art as a fairly common talent for AS, and also the name of Andy Warhol. People need to know that there's more to AS than math and science.
I think they got some facts about Wrong Planet mixed up with AFF (WP has 18k members atm).
And Gareth isn't 19, is he?

I'm 20 now, at the time that article was written I may have been younger.
I left a comment. Forgot to correct them on the 20,000 members thing. I meant to, though.
I did mention that we're not just about people with the Asperger diagnosis, or people who are "high functioning".
