Does anyone know if there's a cheap software or some such that would hlep me by magnifying the image of the computer screen? Whenever I read this forum, I have to copy and paste into Microsoft Word and up the font size to be able to read it. It's quite a pain and takes awhile to do.

Thanks a bunch. Smile

What browser are you using? You can change default font and size in almost all browsers.

The top of the window says "Internet Explorer provided by Dell". It's a laptop, with Windows Vista.
I don't know about Vista, but if you go Start - All Programs - Accessories - Accessibility, most versions of Windows I've worked with have a magnifying widget in there.
Also holding down [ctrl] and turning the wheel on your mouse will usually adjust the font size of the whole web page.
I found under All Programs - Accessories - Ease of Use - Magnifier.

Thank you so much for your responses!

Did I post this in News and Media?
Yep, apparently.  I just hit the 'show new posts' thing whenever I drop in, so I never know where anything's been posted if I need to find it again!
If you find the magnifier tool annoying (like I do), IE7 has a "Zoom" capability that magnifies the whole page. Access it easily by using [CTRL] [+] to zoom in, and [CTRL] [-] to zoom out. If that doesn't work, find the "Page" icon in the icon bar, and select "Zoom" from the menu, and then whatever mag strength you want.

Hope this helps. Big Grin

Is that a Vista-only thing? It doesn't do anything for my screen.

should work...its a shortcut I have used since afore XP...
you might have it disabled though.

go to control panel->accessibility-> and look through it, and make sure the shortcut is enabled.
