I'm officially diagnosed with Asperger syndrome, and wonder if my lack of concentration is related to possible ADD.
Official dx of AS.

Recently suggested to me by a professional that I was 'quite hyperactive' too Rolleyes

B
"traits similar to Aspergers Syndrome" (apparently Tongue)

And more recently a pattering of Discalculia.
Heh, I hear that :]

I think I get anxious at times too..nothing major of course.
officially - depression, Asperger's (was removed)

semi-officially - simple partial epilepsy

un-officially - ADHD, GLD (gifted + learning disabled)
Officially - Asperger Syndrome / autism (depending which specialist you ask; what day it is etc.), clinical depression, OCD, GAD, dyspraxia, dyslexia, executive dysfunction, irlen syndrome, topographical agnosia, prosopagnosia, retardation

Physical: Gilbert Syndrome, ME, gluten intolerance, soft dairy intolerance, hay fever and allergic rhinitis, asthma, intestinal disorder, amblyopia, eczema, dysmennorhoea (combined with inability to spell it!), tinea versocolour, certain medication allergies - I think that's everything

Self-diagnosed: some food allergies - particularly to high potassium foods and certain additives (not officially diagnosed but the resulting sever abdominal pain and vomiting seemed pretty self evident!)
Officially, Aspergers

Semi-officially, seizure disorder (I've been to a doctor and have had ongoing problems with seizures, but they haven't been life-threatening or a serious disturbance on my daily living, so I haven't bothered to go back to a doctor about it - my yearly colds interfere more).

I might have ADHD, though I'm not so sure that I'd say I'm self-diagnosed. Possibly dyscalculia, the kind where I can't do calculations but can understand abstract math. I've had a host of other traits that could go towards a slew of diagnoses for the DSM, but neither me nor a therapist has endeavored to get me evaluated or write anything down about it.
Officially:
AS
NLD

Self:
Dyscalclia

Creasy

Offically diagnosed with Asperger's last year.
I attend Narcotics Anonymous because I'm an addict.(9 years clean)
And I've been on anti-depressants (Lexapro) for about three years because my GP thought I was depressed and I agreed, but I'm only on small dose, 10mg per day.

Man I love AFF,  you can really let it all hang out. (so to speak)
Officially diagnosed (but not always recognised by all medical professionals):
Asperger Syndrome
Generalised Anxiety Disorder
Clinical Depression
Social Phobias

I also have IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), made worse by wheat-based foods.

As others have said, it is interesting how many that have AS also have either depression and/or anxiety problems, as well as food allergies/ food intolerances.
Is it mentionable that I'm allergic to cashew nuts?
Officially diagnosed with Asperger's. I've made no attempt to self-diagnose myself with anything else (should I?).
How is an SSRI supposed to normalise dopamine levels? if they are too high, I would imagine an antipsychotic would be used (not saying should be, just probably would be, they are nasty drugs), if low, then some sort of DARI, I would guess.

Aliengirl, I get what you say about the mixed reuptake inhibitors, and similar drugs for that matter, I was given mirtazepine in prison, not strictly a reuptake inhibitor, but it acts to raise synaptic levels of NA and 5HT through alpha2 adrenoreceptors, I had to flush the lot after taking one dose, made me shake and twitch, and gave me severe 'restless legs syndrome', through my whole body, horrible stuff, although it seems to be most adrenergic drugs that do that to me, I feel like I'm already overly sensitive to my OWN adrenaline without any foreign shit getting pumped into my body, anyone else get that?
makes more sense then .
Was dxed AS when 13.
