This message has been going on since this afternoon and frankly, I'm about to go nuts. The error window reads this:

line b problem parsing xml: 'null' is null or not an object

What on God's green earth does that mean? Could somebody help me?

PS: Internet Explorer still works, but this annoying error keeps popping up every time I open Internet Explorer up.

Okay, I looked a little further into it and found that this message only appears when I open the internet via logging on to my Verizon Yahoo! home page (I have Verizon DSL).

Something probably wasn't initialized. Or maybe a bad array item? It's not your fault. You should let them know, though they probably already know. Then again, I'm a hack.
your solution is as follows;

Firefox

:p
sorry, being a snob. what Griz said sounds about right.

Thanks. I'll get to doing that.

Simple, ditch IE and use Maxthon or Firefox. I have Maxthon as my default and Firefox as a back-up.

Firefox sucks, try Internet Explorer 8!  It actually passed the acid test, unlike firefox!

no, it only passes two of them.
and i'll bet it still hangs on tabbing?

Firefox has near perfect tabbing, and its modular system is far superior to IEs.
but as I said, I am a snob about such things.
