as i see it, this is just the way the church does business...er...churchery or whatever.
dude-- hey preist guy, your church is bs, and i can pretty much prove it!
preist-- oh yeah, you had sex with other men, in public...TWICE!
dude-- uh...err....<meltdown><suicide>
weather or not you consider this suicide or not, is a matter of opinion. where are the rest of the facts? yeah i know, theyre hidden. scientology is *uc%&
up major scam bs with irs status. im not down to mess with that, but i pray to the gods that none of my friends/family get caught up in such bs.
if there are any scientologists here, i apologize, and we need to have a little talk. you cant ignore the facts. it is rare that i will attack a religion as a whole, but imho, any "religion" that runs like a pyrimid scheme is just a scam, not a religon.

This is not the first Scientology critic to die a mysterious death - nor will it be the last.

the article is: Scourge of Scientology dies in apparent suicide, He seemed to abandon the fight in the last year. By Jonathan Abel and Robert Farley, Times Staff Writers Published February 19, 2008
The youtube link in the comments after the article is very interesting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGecZssWc5M The Scientology "church" had posters up around town of all his former criminal acts and have private investigators follow him around. They knew he was spying on them and filming the people coming and going to their "church". I guess I would feel uncomfortable about someone doing that to my church.
But still, Scientology is a load of rubbish. Hubbard built the "church" to make money. Christians churches don't charge people to attend worship or Bible study (or should not) and they don't have any "secret" documents. Read what is says about Scientology at wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology. It is not a "non-profit" organization for sure.
All celebrities claiming that scientology helped them so much -- it also made tonnes of money from them. Except Kristie Ally is still fat and even Jenny Craig doesn't work for her. It is just like the Kabbalah Centres who say they will help you but you have to pay $$$ for their courses. They don't help people. They don't run food banks, drop in centres for the poor etc.

Well, Hubbard even said he started the religion just to make money. He certainly succeeded in that regard.
